   Welcome To FitnessForPilots.Com

It's 2008! What are you doing about your fitness? It's time to stop feeling like cr@p and lose 10-20 lbs. Get your energy back, live longer, improve your sex life.

This site is for the average Joe. Remember the gym in the movie Dodgeball? If you are already fit and eat right you probably won't find a lot of new information here. We would like to learn from your experiences though. The goal of this web site is to show you that with minimal effort you can gain great returns in improving your fitness and energy level while at work as well as your overall health.

The concept for this web site came about with my personal experience of being the typical out of shape pilot and how I have started to turn things around. Learn more in the About Us section.

This web site will teach you specific tips related to fitness and nutrition while respecting the challenges we have with our demanding schedules. You can gain the upper hand on getting back in shape and eating better while at work. Some changes are very easy while others will take motivation to push yourself after working a 12 hour day on 5-6 hours of sleep.

While we can provide some motivation it is YOU that needs to motivate YOU. Otherwise change will not happen. This site is a tool to use in your quest to better health. Will there be times that you will slack off? Sure, but hopefully you will remember how much better you feel by eating healthier and force yourself to work out.

The key to making this a successful web site will be hearing from you. Learning about your success stories and failures along the way.

Good Luck!

Quick Tips to Jumpstart Your Plan

Eliminate Empty Calories from Drinks - Soda, fruit juice and other sugar loaded drinks are out. Instead drink plenty of water, coffee (black), tea, and Crystal Light. Drink diet soda if you have to.

Fried Food - Buh Bye - Out with the fries and in with the salad, no Ranch dressing please, or try a baked potato. Commit to not eating any fried food for 2 weeks. Then go back and try it. You will find how sluggish it makes you. Yes, I am guilting of eating fries once a week but generally I don't finish the entire portion. You generally know what is bad for you. Quit eating it!

The More Times You Eat The Thinner You Will Get! - You should try to eat 5 times per day. This will accellerate your metabolism to help burn calories. Whenever possible eat a large breakfast and then smaller meals thereafter. You should eat every 3 hours. So 3 standard meals and 2 snacks in between. When flying take Almonds with you. Eat them an hour before your next meal. They will help fill you up and reduce your desire to pig out when you land.

   Quotes From FitnessForPilots Hopefuls

"This is going to be great. I believe one of the many problems we have is the 'feast or famine' environment we live in as pilots. Kills the metabolism. Hopefully your website will kick us all into gear. Thanks and good luck."
